LUGANSK, June 8. /TASS/. Russian troops have narrowed the distance to the settlement of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to 6.5 km, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS on Sunday.
Marochko told TASS earlier that Russian fighters had substantially expanded the area under their control near Stupochki and gained terrain north of that community.
"The distance to the Konstantinovka suburb is about 6.5 km," the expert said.
The military expert told TASS earlier that Russian troops were closing in on Konstantinovka. He said that the community was a major industrial center and the Ukrainian military was using the Soviet-era infrastructure for defense.
